Summitville Police department

Committed to Serving the Community with Integrity and Compassion

Calls for service and 911 calls are routed through the communications center at the Madison County Central dispatch. Administrative needs such as report copies and permits are handled at the police station. To have an officer dispatched to the station please call 765-642-0221. If it is an emergency Dial 911.

The department maintains a positive working relationship with all police agencies in Madison County and adjoining counties as well as the Indiana State Police. This relationship provides for mutual assistance, pooled resources when necessary for certain investigations and for additional manpower for large events such as the July 4th celebration.

OUR RESERVE OFFICERS

A reserve police officer performs the same job as a full time officer, however they volunteer their time to serve the community and police department. Many of our reserves have gone on to become full time paid police officers with other departments.

Our reserve officers exceed the yearly training requirements set forth by the State of Indiana to maintain their position. We hold our reserve officers to the same professional standards as our full time officers. Thank you for your service!!
